This book is hard to come by, since it comes from the UK, but the activity of doing a "code word" puzzle is much more fun, to me, than a simple crossword!Each letter of the alphabet is assigned a number, and then the letters are placed correspondingly into the numbered blanks in the puzzle to make words, but you've got to figure out which number belongs to which letter (or vice-versa!). It's a bit challenging at times, but I've worked so many crossword puzzles that I was ready for a change. The puzzles in this book are challenging, but not too too challanging that they simply can't be worked.I always tear out a couple of pages and staple them together and put them in my purse to work while I'm sitting in the Dr.'s office, etc. (I could put the whole book I guess, but there's just not room enough in my purse...)I hope that when I get this book completed, Book 4 will be available! Much more fun than crosswords!
My wife is hooked, but some words are not normal in the USA. Makes it kinda fun!

This is volume 3 of 6 volumes from The Times of London. They are a good beginners learning tool if you are thinking of trying them. It's good brain exercise. They contain easy, moderate and hard examples.
I have fallen in love with Code Word puzzles. Not quite crossword. Not quite sudoku. A game in a league of it's own. Just figure out which letter of the alphabet is represented by which number 1-26. LOVE IT!!

l love this book, l am now with book three and have ordered book four l have many many hours of enjoyment, and it has different levels to work at l have mastered level one and two but so far cannot master level three.
